This has become a popular marking to leave on a person's neck nowadays, as the neck is almost always visible no matter what kind of clothing the bearer should choose to wear. That's the whole point of the hickey you know, to make it visible to the rest of the world.

Call it a tribal and primitive marking of a protective partner or just a simple sign of passion and attraction, it's a growing phenomenon, especially among the younger generations (teenagers and adults in their young twenties).

3. The face:

I understand, you might not want the hickey to be around forever or even for more than a few hours, and that's why I wanted to discuss a few simple ways on how you can actually speed up the process of getting rid of a well-placed hickey.

1. Massage:

This is a great way of removing hickeys since you relax the skin and hopefully take care of the infected areas.

2. Makeup:

This is more or less a method of concealing a hickey, rather than removing it but once you apply the right kind of makeup, it feels like you don't even have the hickey anymore.
