How to Make a Bin Cage | DIY Hamster Cage

Welcome back friends! Today we’re upgrading our hamster Ted’s tiny store-bought cage to a DIY bin cage habitat—and it's a game changer! 🛠️🐹 After learning that his original cage was too small, we put together a much larger and more comfortable space using simple materials like a Sterilite bin, mesh wire, zip ties, and duct tape. This project is affordable, beginner-friendly, and gives your little furry friend so much more room to play!

We’ll walk you through step-by-step how we cut the bin, attached the mesh lid, secured the water bottle with Velcro, and filled it with cozy bedding and toys.
