How to Make a Cloth Doll Armature

Take your art dolls to another level with a custom armature to fit any cloth doll pattern. The doll can pose in any way, and will even stand unassisted when it has a great skeleton like this.

Materials needed:
1. Armature wire - I use 6 or 10 guage for a doll approximately 18" to 24"
2. Masking tape
3. Jewelry cutter to cut the wire

This demonstration begins with an armature that is already constructed. To make the armature, simply lay the pattern on your table and lay the wire on top, following the diagram you see in the image. Wrap it with tape to join the pieces together. The video shows you how to insert it into your doll.
