Description from the creator

This Kite came about thanks to a random blue plsatic bag blowing along the street towards me, i caught the bag and thought that i could make a kite from it.
The diamentions of this kite are not critical but i would recommend making the diagonal no shorter than 24 inches / 60 cm for a first attempt.
The spars are the difficult thing to find, i am lucky due to having a lot of kite making material to hand, what ever material you find for the spars it needs to be strong enough for the job but light enough it will not weigh the kite down.
The arched cross spar is the key to this kite, it must be flexible enough to bend backwards a little when there is wind pressure on the plastic, this is how the kite maintains stability, thin fibreglass rod is ideal for this, if you use wood such as Bamboo great caure must be takem to ensure it bends evenly, thinning the spar down with sandpaper or a knife in the areas that it is not bending as much, this is delicate process.
The bridle sets the angle the kite faces the wind, it is threaded around the vertical spar at the juction point and about two thirds down the central spar.
Where the loop is tied in the bridle makes a lot of difference to setup the kite start by layong the kite on its back on a table, hold the bridle up so it slightly lifts the front of the kite clear of the table while the rear of the kite is still touching the table, further experimenting will be needed, to make this easier tie a small ring to the bridle with a larks head knot, perhaps a washer, it will then be easy to slacked this off to make adjustment.
If you have any other suggestions or methods please post below, thanks for watching and happy kite flying.
