✨ WHY YOU'LL LOVE THIS ONE
• Custom roman shades cost hundreds, this costs about twenty dollars
• You're reusing mini blinds you already have hanging there
• No sewing machine needed, it's all fabric glue
• The blind mechanism already works, so you keep the cord and the pulleys
• You can match any fabric to any room

Here's why this works so well. The hard part of a roman shade is the mechanism that makes it fold up evenly, and a mini blind already has one built in! You strip out most of the slats, keep a few as the fold supports, and glue your fabric right onto them. That's the whole trick.

✂️ WHAT YOU'LL NEED
- Vinyl or aluminum mini blinds that fit your window
- Fabric, about half a yard more than your window height
- Fabric glue or a hot glue gun
- Scissors and a measuring tape
- An iron

A few tips from doing this: measure your window before you buy fabric, not after. Press the fabric first because wrinkles will show forever once it's glued. Space your remaining slats evenly or the folds will look off. And pick a medium weight fabric, since anything too thin will show the slats through it and anything too heavy won't fold cleanly.

Try it with linen for a relaxed look, blackout fabric for a bedroom, a bold print for a kitchen, or a soft neutral for a nursery.
