How to Make an Instagram Slideshow with Photos & Videos

This video shows you how to create Instagram slideshows with photos and videos. FilmoraGo allows you to create Instagram slideshows and add filters, overlays, transitions and titles to the slide show. You can download FilmoraGo here: bit.ly/2gYlQ5n

Slideshows are a big deal on Instagram. Instagram only lets you post videos that are fifteen seconds long, but you can show a lot of cool photos in fifteen seconds.

Let’s make an Instagram slideshow using FilmroaGo. FilmoraGo is available for both Android now. The iOS version is coming soon.

Open up FilmoraGo on your mobile device and select ‘Create New Video’. Next, it’s time to choose where you are going to pull your photos from. Four options will appear; video, photo, Facebook, and Instagram. You can ignore video for now since this is a slideshow. ‘Photo’ will show you photos you have saved on your device.

Facebook or Instagram will show you photos posted to your social media accounts. If you have not yet linked FilmoraGo to your accounts you will need to before you can select any images. Scroll through your photos and tap the grey checkmarks next to the ones you want to use. Tap ‘next’ when you are done. You can always come back and grab more photos, from any source, by selecting ‘add’.

Once your project is open drag the thumbnails of your images around until you like the order they’re in. If your slideshow is more than fifteen seconds long then you can make your photos appear for less time. To shorten the duration of an image tap on its thumbnail, then tap ‘trim clip’.

After that just drag the blue tabs surrounding your clip to shorten it. When your video is the right length and you are happy with how your clips are arranged you can make your slideshow even better by adding music and a title. In FilmoraGo’s main screen, select ‘music’ from the toolbar on the right. Scroll through the music library and tap on a song you want to listen to. Tap ‘okay’ if you like the song, or ‘cancel’ to keep looking.

Now it’s title time. Tap on your first image, and then tap ‘titles’ in the menu at the bottom of your screen. From here you can browse through the titles. When you find a style you like, tap the middle of your screen to open up a keypad and insert your own text. Tap ‘done’ when you’re finished, and then ‘ok’ if you like the look of your title. Otherwise you can keep testing new ones.

After you’re finished all that’s left is to post your slideshow to Instagram. Save your project, then tap on the red ‘share’ icon. Different social media icons will pop up: choose the Instagram one. Any photos you’ve used that are not square-shaped will be cropped down. That’s it!
