How To Make Armstrong Mix (ish)
ChannelPotential OverloadDescription from the creator
This is a quick tutorial on how to make Armstrong Mix, it is very powerful. By no means is this to be used for bullets or such, but it can be used in things such as mini cannons and fire trails, similar to gunpowder)
I used roughly 250-300 match, and used some of screen. For the best results use 50/50 ratio between the match heads and the strikers. This type of gunpowder should only be used in small amounts; preferably no more than 0,5 grams, and never more than 1 gram at a time.
Safety equipment should be worn when testing/using thin mix. Glasses if there is any danger of flying particles or parts, and ear protection whether it's earmuffs, earplugs or simply your fingers.

This video will show you the, in my opinion, best way to make a simple substitute to Armstrong's mixture.
Armstrong's mixture is an extremely sensitive gunpowder, so use caution when making or using it. If you're under 18, you should always have permission from your parents or the people you live with before making fireworks of any kind. Be aware that the mixture is friction and shock sensitive, and will ignite when its exposed to either of them.
I will not be held responible for what you use this for.
Be aware that mixing pure(r) ingredients will make an even more sensitive mixture, so do not try that out if you do not know what you're doing.
The two ingredients must not be mixed in any other way than the diaper method or by gentle shaking. Other methods, like stirring, might cause it to ignite due to friction.
The two ingredients must NOT be grinded after they are mixed. Doing so will cause it to ignite.
The match heads must NOT be crushed with a pestle and mortar. There is a great risk for it to ignite when doing this.
Please be aware that a useing a battery might cause the mix to ignite as well.
Wooden matches are better than paper matches.
Ratio: 1: 18-20 matches per amount of phosphorus from one match box.
Example: 110 matches and 5 boxes (this is the amount I use when ever I make AM)
2: 1,7 grams of match head powder (potassium chlorate) and 0,3 grams of phosphorus
I don't know what matches this works with and not, but in general i believe that all safety matches will give a similar result. However if there are any matches that does not work, let me know.
This works with: Nitedals Hjelpestikker, The Scissors Safety Matches, Zebra Safety Matches, Sampo Matches, De Zwaluw, Redhead matches, Flix matches, Olivenca Posporo, Commando, Royal Phimco, Tordenskjold Tændstikker, Green Light Diamond matches, Homelites matches, Union Match
(let me know if there is another brand that works, and the ratio if its not the one I use)
As always, be cautious with use!
