Description from the creator

How to make Hallucinogenic alpine absinthe

With a few herbs that can be found in the alps and across many towns and cities, or in a good herbalist you too can make your own absinthe. What's more this stuff will knock your socks off.

Please do make with a note of caution as the wild lettuce does come with some undesirable side affects - ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC3031874/

Equipment needed

One kilner/mason jar

Filter/strainer/sieve

Ingredients
Since some of the flavours from the drink I made didn't come through, here is a revised recipe that differs slightly.

1 tsp fresh wormwood

1 tsp St Johns wort

1 wild lettuce leaf*

1 tsp mugwort

1 tbs spruce tips (make sure it ain't yew)

1 tbs pine needles

1 tsp wild carrot seeds (hemlock is in this family so be sure you know what you are picking)

1 tsp yarrow

Infuse in 500ml vodka for three hours

stain and serve with pomegranate kombucha

* and to be aware of the dangers of wild lettuce - ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC3031874/
