Recipe for the Marinara Sauce:
- Extra Virgin Olive Oil
- 2 Onions (Diced)
- 2 Tbsp MInced Garlic
- 2 Tbsp Sugar
- Seasoning: Salt, Cracked Pepper and Chilli Flakes
- Cooking Wine for Glazing ( I used Edenvale Chardonnay, non-alcohol wine)
- 2 Litres of Crushed tomatoes
- Basil ( I used semi-dried Basil, but It's best to use Fresh Basil Leaves for better aromatic flavour)
- Use a Handheld Stick Blender to make the sauce into a smooth texture.
Storage:
- Once cooled down, the sauce can be stored in airtight containers/ bottles. Make sure the containers are sterilised and dried completely before storing the sauce.
