I used a ppg stain. - color in video
1x6x10 untreaded 1 by
2 to 2-1/2 " trim or siding nails will work

Helpful tip- since the 6x6 has the same measurements on all 4 sides. cut and test fit your first piece. Then use it as a template to mark/ cut the rest.
