today were krauting! sauerkraut is one of our favorite things to make with cabbage! goes great with pinto beans!

RECIPE!!

chop cabbage
in bottom of jar ad 1 Tbs pickling salt
pack cabbage in tight as possible leaving 1 inch headspace
add 1 Tbs salt on top and 1 Tbs Vinegar
fill jar with boiling water leaving 1 inch headspace
seal with a lid and keep stored in a dark cool place and allow to work for 3 weeks.
you can also add hot peppers if you like it spicy
