Starting a recruiting agency, one of the first steps you'll take is creating a name for the business.

This doesn't need to be tricky, in fact it's super easy. It just needs to follow some guidelines.

Location: Sometimes it's super easy if you live in a large metropolitan area to name your agency with the city in mind, ex: Minneapolis Staffing Inc. This gets you credibility because they know you work strictly in the city and staff for local companies, that's huge!

Second thing to consider. Don't make it complicated, too long, confusing or just down right stupid. Don't try to be cute, don't try to be funny, this is business. Examples of a terrible name would be "Good Guy's Recruiting" or "Best Staffing Services Ever inc."

Not too long, not too short is the key here. Be sure it gets the the point. Anyone that reads your name must understand immediately what it is you do, or its useless. Don't try to reinvent the wheel, there are a billion company names with words you can reuse and reorder in some fashion, including the words, "partners", "group", "firm", "solutions", "services" is always a good step.

Rule of thumb: Don't find the name in one day, but don't take longer than 7 days. Period. If you have doubts ask others in the business such as on our facebook group or me directly, or anybody else other than close family and friends who will never give you the best most truthful answer!
