Description from the creator

As a car accident victim, it is likely that you will have damages from the insurance company, but you should master the art of negotiation. In fact, do not wait until the insurance company does the "right thing."

You should know that the insurance adjusters are strong and talented in negotiation as they practice this method daily, and as a personal injury lawyer in Los Angeles, I share with you 6 tips on how to deal with an insurance company after a car accident.

1. Do not settle for the first settlement offer: The insurance adjusters will likely give you a settlement offer that is quite understated and inferior to what you really deserve and take advantage of your incompetence to better negotiate this offer, to evaluate what you deserve or they may detect you want to have money fast.

2. Your first offer should not be your bottom line: The first settlement offer should not be your goal. You should start high so you have wiggle room for negotiating.

3. Know your bottom line: At this stage, you should calculate the value of your damages and rely on it in determining your offer to settle your case.

4. Have patience when making counter-offers: Do not be surprised if the insurance company suggests a rather miserable settlement offer, so make counter-offers and take your time. Make increments little by little and in a reasonable way.

5. Ask why the insurance is offering the amount they're offering. It is justified to ask the insurance claims adjusters why the are offering a certain amount. This can help you increase the amount of your claim so you can address issues that the adjuster has.

6. Do not be pressured by the insurance company: It is practice that the insurance company will try to put pressure on you to accept the first offer or to give you less than what your claim is worth. Don't give up so easily. Insurance adjusters are keen on detecting insecurity.
