How To Play The Fun Card Game Knock

This is a tutorial of the card game Knock, that can be played by any number of players from 2 upwards. If playing with many players it can even be played with more than one pack of cards. The jokers can also be included in the game, and the game can also be played if some of the cards are missing.

You start with seven cards for each player and the idea of the game is to discard all of your cards. The first player to discard all of his/her cards is the winner. It can be a fun fast action game, although this tutorial does take things slowly to teach you the rules of the game.

You will learn there are a few 'special' cards, of which I summarise the purpose of below:
2, 3 and 4 … Pick-up cards
8 … Next player miss a turn
Jack … Change the suite for future play
Joker … This card can be put on top of any card and any card can be put on top of it, but remember a Joker can not be used when a pick-up routine is in progress

There are different variations of the game, which you may wish to try out, for instance:
Queen … Change rotation of play (i.e. Anti-clockwise, rather than clockwise)
Ace … Same function as a Jack (i.e. Change the suite)

If you desire to play a game of shorter duration you may find it best to not play a game where the 2, 3 and 4 cards are used as pick-up cards (referred to as a non-pick-up game).
