How to Prepare and Deliver a Speech

A Speech may be boring or very interesting depending on the manner in which it is prepared and delivered. A speech shall be well structured with an impressive start, interesting content, and finally an effective end. Content of the Speech is extremely important and the speaker should figure out the following 1) Purpose of the speech- Is it entertainment? Education? or simply interaction? 2) Audience: Age group, their common interests, their background etc. if available 3) Duration and depth depending on the topic and expectation of the audience etc.

Most important for a Speaker is to Prepare! Prepare! And Prepare! Simply reading out a speech may bore the audience. Preparing, structuring, rehearsing and delivering are all inter-related and move in tandem with each other to make the Speech an effective one!
