Description from the creator

if we have a transmitter with a 4-20 mA output and want to connect it to an analog input or AI module, the quickest way is to place a 24 volt power here and connect the transmitter to the analog input module this way. However, this is not common practice. If you connect the transmitter directly to the analog input module, you risk damaging the module. A better practice would be to protect the analog input module by using an Abron signal isolator.

The signal isolator receives a 4-20 mA signal, isolates it with a high degree of accuracy and pushes a safe 4-20 mA signal to the output. Wiring the transmitter’s signal to the analog input module indirectly ensures that if anything detrimental happens with the transmitter, your AI module is protected.
