How To Rearm & Repack Onyx Automatic / Manual PFD A/M-24

May 7, 2018: Last week my Onyx 3042c Automatic / Manual life jacket decided to inflate itself spontaneously. This was the result of a faulty bobbin.

In this video I will show you how to completely rearm your Onyx PFD as well as repack it so that it may be returned to service. The instructions are for the 3042c but the technique will be similar for most inflatable PFDs.

Please refer to your product's owners manual for specific information regarding rearming and repacking your PFD. A properly-working PFD can save your life in an emergency. Take the time to become familiar with your equipment.
