Description from the creator

In this video I use muriatic acid, diluted with water to remove dried mortar from ceramic tile. This is for minor mortar stains. Use a scraper, or razor blade, to get the heavy stuff off being careful not to scratch the tile. Apply muriatic acid (1 part acid to 5 parts water) diluted with water in a spray bottle and simply use a scouring pad and it comes right off. This Mortar has been on the tile for probably two or three days. Be sure to wear rubber gloves and eye protection because the acid is very strong. Use in a well ventilated area too. Mix the solution in a plastic container, not metal. I suggest testing in an inconspicuous area to make sure it does not affect the tile. Be sure to rinse the area with soap and water (I use Dawn dish soap) . I tried everything to get the light stains off the tile and this was by far the fastest and easiest way! Dry it off and grout.
