I've been a certified firearm instructor for nearly 20 years, Training new users (and new firearm instructors) is actually part of my job description in my "Real" job.
One thing my agency teaches new shooters is how to safely unload a shotgun. Now most people unload a shotgun using the rack it until all the shells are out "They way my grand-daddy taught me".
