Description from the creator

If your trying to add Google Webmaster Tools also known as Google Search Console to your site, your now require to verify your site using a DNS TXT record entry.

Using an Godaddy or unmanaged host provider you should find some form of a DNS Manager for editing entire DNS zone records. Once you’ve set the DNS TXT record up then try the ‘Verify’ button in Google Search Console under DNS Verification and get a flash notification if it was successful or not. While you may get verified immediately, it’s not unreasonable to have to wait a 24-48 hour period for the process to work.

Here is a list of host provider tutorials to verify your domain name.
