Description from the creator

This film presents peripheral intravenous cannulation technique. Here we performed catheterization of a cephalic vein (Vena cephalica), which is one of the main superficial veins of the upper limb. The vessel routes over the radial bone, shallow under the skin, has a large diameter - that is why it is very easy to locate and puncture. Film shows the following: disinfection of the puncture site - above the wrist, puncture of the vein at a very sharp angle, sequential filling of the mandrel and plastic cannula, connection of the drip line and administration of the drug through the second port.
