Description from the creator

There are few surefire ways to tell if the beautiful goblet that you're considering at the antique store or an estate sale is real lead crystal or simple pretty cut glass. First, the item will feel heavy for it's size. Then if you hold it up to the light, real crystal reflects light like a prism and cut glass does not. If you gently thump or tap real crystal it will ring high pitched for a few seconds but cut glass will simply sound like a low flat thud. Finally, if you happen to have some water handy, pour a bit into the glass and generously wet your finger. Run your wet finger around the rim of the bowl. Real crystal will sing, meaning it will emit a high pitched ringing sound as long as your rubbing but cut glass won't make any sound at all. Happy Hunting!
