For the iPhones without the little iPhone button triple click the power button after you have the app open. But, you’ll need to first turn on guided access in the accessibility section in the settings.

Setting your IOS to guided access will allow you put a child lock on your IOS device. iPhones and iPads have the ability to set a parental lock.

Also, within the guided access feature you can select specific areas so the areas aren’t active.

A timer is even available.
