Description from the creator

Has been and have been are present perfect progressive tense. The formula is simple: SUBJECT + HAS/HAVE + BEEN + PRESENT PARTICIPLE of the verb (-ing form of the verb. This tense is used when the action started in the past and continues to the present.

Example:

She has been teaching English for 5 years now.

Had been is a past perfect progressive tense. Two actions happened, continued and ended in the past.

Example:

Rodrigo had been drinking "tuba" when his mother caught him.
