How to Use the Apperson Advantage 1200 for Basic Item Analysis

It came up at our SCIP meeting that there was some confusion on simple ways we can reflect on our practice. I just wanted to share something I do that’s really easy and helps me all the time when giving tests and quizzes.

I know there are much more intricate ways to use Apperson software but this trick is simple, quick, and yields great results. It’s even helped me figure out if I bubbled something wrong on my key (which happens way too much!).

Using item analysis is a great way to reflect on our practice. I keep mine on paper for simple reference the next day at class. For me, low tech is better for this but whatever works for you!

Also, if you do this already great! Make sure you are getting credit for it on your observations!
