Acclimating my cocoa damsel (Stegastes variabilis) to my 5 gallon nano reef aquarium. In this short video, I try to demonstrate the steps I take in acclimating all of my saltwater livestock, whether it be fish, coral or even cleanup crew.

This damselfish did pick on my corals a bit, and I found that my leather corals were often closed up because of the stress. I do not consider damsels reef safe, introduce them to your tank at your own caution. They can also be fairly aggressive. My first option for this pico reef tank was a small yellow clown goby (which only lasted 2 days in my tank and died from a fungal infection).
