How to Apply Fly Spray to a Horse | Jeffers Equine

If your horse is unfamiliar with fly spray, you’ll want to start by spraying down and away onto the ground so they can get used to the sound. You should also keep a reassuring hand on your horse while you spray so they remain comfortable. Next, begin spraying your horse with fly spray. Thoroughly spray your entire horse, starting at the hooves and working your way up. Make sure to avoid the face, however. Use a rag to gently wipe the fly spray onto your horse’s face, ears, and underbelly.
