Bala sharks are an amazing fish and are easy to care for, you just have to make sure you have the space that is required to house these fish. Silver sharks aka bala sharks get to be about 14-16 inches. i've heard a story from the local fish store owner that he saw two bala sharks in a 500 gallon aquarium in virginia beach that got to be two foot long, they were massive, i don't doubt that these fish could get that large if housed in the correct conditions, these fish love to school so having three or more six would be great or however many you could get. but if you do have more then one just remember that means you need a larger aquarium so keep housing conditions in mind. these fish do like vegetation and if raised with small fish when young they will more then likely not harm small fish. they will also nip at black beard or black brush algae but do not rely on them as a main source to be rid of the nucaine algae.
