Due to many viewers asking for training, taming and help with their budgies/parakeets, this is the third of a series of "how to" videos.

Bird proofing your home insures the safety of your bird and gives you peace of mind.

There are numerous toxic plants, foods and items to avoid. Since these birds have such tiny lungs, please keep them away from spray chemicals, kitchen cooking smells, windex, deodorizing sprays, and even non stick cooking utensils.

Also, there are too many things to mention but I neglected to say the placement of the cage. Avoid windows and vents. These birds like to be in a social area so a good choice is a room where members of the family gathers the most.
