Description from the creator

Requested: What to do if a horse is pushy and has bad ground manners?
Hope this helps lemme know what you think. I love all the horses in the pasture and know them all very well, savannah has been here since before Karma so I know her best. Micky is young and just doesn't quite get ground manners yet, just like most horse owners we only have time to ride and not train for this kind of stuff. So he doesn't get that running over people and being pushy isn't respectful hes just a horse and was used in my Example because of this.

There is nothing wrong with him being curious, but if he does raid my space too much I will tell him to back up a bit. If you notice he does test me to see if I really have authority to tell him this because he was never taught that he cannot be boss over people.. Because some people let him be boss. That is the cause.
It is not his fault though.

Most of the time I am on the ground with Karma because she is young, I lunge and desensitize more than I ride so therefore she is a more well mannered horse. If you don't believe me your more than welcome to come out here and I'd show you myself. Just from in the video you can tell she is relaxed, comfortable and curious, its not in her nature to push because I've taken time to teach her to be respectful..

If you want a well respectable horse it takes time. Cut down your riding and get on the ground. It might sound harsh but its the truth... ALWAYS pay attention to your horse and only correct when needed. Don't sit there and NAG your horse (push, elbow, pull) ONLY if needed or your horse will start to ignore it because you do it for the wrong reasons.
