In addition to being The Mental Coach, I also have pets. Here are some tips in this video to help not lose your pet during 4th of July fireworks.

BONUS TIP: Get an ID tag engraved with your pet's name and your phone number, and put it on their collar. I've seen lots of loose dogs with no ID tag of any type. A microchip is good, too. Even if a collar comes off, a microchip can help your dog come home - MAKE SURE THE CONTACT INFO IS CURRENT WITH THE MICROCHIP. BTW, an Apple AirTag is NO SUBSTITUTE for a printed ID tag! I found a dog after a storm, all it had was an AirTag, and the owner didn't even know the dog was missing for three days (backyard dog and the fence blew over). :(
