Budgie Breeding Box or Nesting Box's perfect size is 30 x 20 x 20 cm so inches that would be 12 inches x 7.9 inches. The opening should be positioned high up in one corner of the nest box, preferably at the furthest end from where the hen will lay her eggs. The size of the opening should be 50mm (2in) in diameter works great for a budgie.
