Yes you can jump in a Western Saddle, but you can hurt yourself if not careful, by hitting the saddle horn. Reccomend to start low, try to stay below 2 feet, wear a helmet, practice 2 point position and grab mane to help keep your hands steady. Practice in the arena will keep you safe and build confidence for the trail.
