How To Train An Older Dog To Listen - Professional Dog Training Tips

In our Train Station livestream tonight, we're going to talk about how to train an older dog to listen. This is a topic that is very near and dear to my heart as I have trained a few older dogs to listen that have had little or no obedience training beforehand. This presents some unique challenges for you as the trainer, and it also is really helpful to have a good understanding of some basic puppy training techniques. Teaching your dog to listen to you is vital if you ever want to progress to a point where you have some off-leash control. It's also important to keep your dog safe and your home free of chewed furniture;) Join professional dog trainers, Ken Steepe and Kayl McCann for the weekly dog training train station show at 7:30 PM, EST on Thursday! Ask your dog training questions in the chat and enjoy the show! See you on Thursday!
