Havahart Safe Release live traps are not only the animal friendly choice -the user-friendly choice. Useful for nearly every kind of pest including raccoons, squirrels, groundhogs, minks, muskrats, opossums, rats, skunks, and weasels.

To set the medium sized 632, begin by turning the door locks to the open position. Open the door by pushing down the trigger rod. Position the trigger rod under the bait trigger so both doors are held open. Then set the door locks to the closed position.

To set the bigger 998, push the door lock in. Then lift the door and hook the trigger hook in the door. Repeat the process on the other side.

Trip the cage a few times to make sure it’s working properly, then do the entire process again. Place the bait near the bait pan and wait.

Once you’ve captured your pest, you can release them safely back
into the wild. Set the timer for up to five minutes, giving yourself plenty of time to get away from the trap. Then, unlock the door latch, go to a safe distance and wait for the trap to open.
