How to Access the Nacaps Research Data

In 2019 more than 20.000 doctoral candidates from Germany responded to the first Nacaps survey. Nacaps is a longitudinal study of doctoral candidates and doctorate holders conducted by the German Centre for Higher Education Research and Science Studies (DZHW).

Doctoral candidates are surveyed at regular intervals on the study conditions for their doctorates, career aims and professional development, as well as on their general life situation.

External Researchers can use the Nacaps survey data for their own research in the form of a Scientific Use File. The SUF is an anonymised data set that can be used for research purposes only.
