How to Calibrate a Digital pH Meter - Quick and Easy steps.

The Digital pH Meter is an indispensable tool in the hydroponic culture technique. Before to do anything, it must be calibrated.
You must have distilled or demineralized water and the 4.01 and 6.86 solutions provided when you buy the pH Meter. Dissolve the two solution in two different pots and put water in the third pot. Then do the following steps:

1. First clean the electrode in clean water.
2. Place the Meter in 6.86 solution and wait for value to stabilize. Then press Cal for 5 seconds (3 seconds for some models). The display will show you 6.86.
3. Clean the electrode again in the clean water.

4. Place the Meter in 4.01 solution and wait for value to stabilize. Then press Cal for 5 seconds. The display will show you 6.86. Press one more time Cal and the display will show you 4.01. The value is set.

5. Clean the electrode again in the clean water.

6. Make a test to verify.
