Description from the creator

Over 11,000 public libraries are now lending out ebooks through their websites via the Kindle app on the iPad and iPhone. You can check out up to 6 books for 21 days.

Libraries have a limited amount of licences for each book, so there may be waiting lists for popular new titles.

It's pretty simple to do, but you'll need three things:

1. A library card
2. An Amazon.com account
3. An iPad with the Kindle app installed.

Simply find a service called Overdrive on your local library's website, check out the ebook, and click on the Get for Kindle button. This will launch Amazon.com in the browser.

On Amazon, click the Send Library Book button and send it to your registered device (you may want to sign in to Amazon on the Kindle app to register it if you've never done that before).

It's not just old books being offered, but new popular releases as well.
