IDE-SATA adapter for connecting:
- an IDE drive (DVD or HDD) to a SATA only motherboard, or
- a SATA drive (DVD or HDD) to an IDE motherboard on a PC

The adapter has to be powered also. The adapter is equipped with a switch and a jumper to select which mode to use (described above). The adapter has only one SATA connector.
