It is possible to use Plastic SCM locally while the rest of the team is on Git.

This is very helpful when a phased transition is required, or if simply only part of the team want need to get advantage of Plastic SCM while still delivering to a central Git repo.

GitSync is the underlying technology that enables Plastic to natively speak the Git network protocol. From the Git side, there won't be any difference between a Plastic client and a regular Git one.

The screencast shows how two developers use Plastic to share changes, branches and merges using Git
