Wondering how to create an alias in cPanel? We walk you through exactly how in this video tutorial. So what is an alias? An alias, also known as a parked domain, is a second domain name that can display the same website as your primary domain.

There’s 2 ways you can create an alias:
1. You can have the second domain display the website; or
2. You can have the second domain redirect to the main domain We recommend the second option, as it eliminates any chance that you’ll be penalized by search engines for having duplicate content!

TIP: Consider using Addons instead of aliases if you are creating a separate website on your new domain.

Please note: Setting up an alias does not register the domain name, so if you want to use an alias, you’ll need to register the domain name first.
