This is how to upscale the frame rate and create smooth slow motion videos using DAIN APP

The AI we are using in this video is called DAIN and is a Depth-Aware Video Frame Interpolation AI. Thanks to the DAIN AI the DAIN APP allows us to increase the frame rate of a video up to 8x to create super smooth slow motion videos.

This methode is similar to the NVIDIA slow mo method, but not the same thing. As the Nvidia Slow Mo method this one is interpolating frames. Which means the DAIN AI is calculating missing frames in between real frames based on the actual content of the Video and is not just creating an average image between to frames. Its also more advanced as the current state of optical flow. Due to its Deph Aware capabilities, DAIN should be able to do a better separation between subject and background as any other methods until now.

To be able to upscale a videos frame rate you need to have Python installed. You also need an Nvidia graphics card with enough power to run this software.

Once Python is installed download and install the DAIN APP. Please make sure to support the project by paying a small amount for the download.

Could this be used as a kind of replacement for Nvidia DLSS 3 for videos instead of video games?
