How to DRY a WET Nikon/Canon/Sony Camera lens (EASY)

How to dry a SOAKED CAMERA LENS Nikon 50mm
My Nikon 50mm f1.8 was drowned at the Snow King Mountain Pond Skim 2014 event. Although my Nikon D800 fared well, with the mic only getting a little wet, the lens had quite a bit of water in it. One of the teenage skiers decided to carve a turn and soaked myself, people standing around me, and two babies sleeping behind me.
To dry out a Nikon 50mm lens, most people put their lens in a bag of rice and wait 2 stressful weeks. Within 2 days, I was able to suck out all the water out of the lens using this technique of using a candle warmer as a gentle heat source with rice acting as a desiccant.
