How to Fix '....... Because the Folder or A File in It Is Open in Another Program' - (Solved..!!)
Sometimes, when we try to delete some folders, a warning box with a warning “the Action Can't Be Completed Because the Folder or A File in It Is Open in Another Program'“ will appear which prevent us fromm deleting the folder. In this video, there are three methods to fix this problem:
Fix 1: Empty recycle bin and delete temporary files.
Fix 2: If it doesn’t work, Stop Windows from caching the thumbnails – to do this type ‘gpedit.msc’ in run box and open it. Open ‘User Configuration’ – ‘Administrative Templates’ – ‘Windows Components’ – ‘Windows Explorer’ – And right click on ‘Turn off caching of thumbnails in hidden thumbs.db’ and click ‘Edit’ – select ‘Enabled’.
Fix 3: Open ‘Resource Monitor’ by typing ‘resmon.exe’ in run box- Click ‘CPU’ – ‘Associated Handles’ – type in the search box name of the folder/file that created the problem. Then the Associated programs will appear- right click on it select ‘End Process’ – That’s all.
