Description from the creator

In Ubuntu, and perhaps some other distributions, there are annoying instances where java applets on web pages do not run or work as they should. This is even after you have appropriately installed Java run time environment (JRE).

But fright not, this video is here for the rescue.

The video is particularly focused on the Firefox browser.
Open up a terminal and issue these commands:

sudo apt-get install icedtea-7-plugin
cd ~/.mozilla
mkdir plugins
cd plugins
ln -s /usr/lib/jvm/jd1.7.0_04/jre/lib/i386/libnpjp2.so ~/.mozilla/plugins

or for 64bit

ln -s /usr/lib/jvm/jd1.7.0_04/jre/lib/amd64/libnpjp2.so ~/.mozilla/plugins
