Adding DACRON POLYFIL to your box can make up for not having all the space you need in your box which is generally used in sealed applications, however, sometimes it is used in ported applications.
Adding roughly a pound per cubic foot to the walls, may help drop your low end back down and using bonded polyfil will help prevent polyfil from getting sucked into your voicecoil and destroying your subwoofer. BE SURE not to block the ported vent.
