How to jailbreak iPhone 3G and iPod Touch 2G on ios 4.0.1

This video is on Jailbreak your iphone 3g and Jailbreaking iPod Touch 2nd gen (NON MC MODEL). You can check your iPod Model by going to settings on your ipod then general then About then look for Model.

Itunes 9.2 is required to do all this.

If you are on 4.0.1 firmware then simply point iOS 4 in redsnow to jailbreak your devices respectively.

IMPORTANT 1: IF YOU HAVE AN IPHONE 3G USING AN UN-OFFICIAL SIM CARD (or No Sim Card at all) THEN AFTER UPDATING YOUR IPHONE FROM ITUNES TO iOS4 , YOU WILL SEE ITUNES LOGO AND USB LOGO ON YOUR IPHONE SCREEN. DO NOT PANIC. AT THIS POINT SIMPLY CLOSE ITUNES AND RUN REDSNOW 0.9.5. THIS WILL HACTIVATE YOUR IPHONE 3G AND OPEN IN NORMAL MODE.

You might see Cydia icon as white icon . To cure this you will have to open Cydia and add source "apt.saurik.com/cydia-3.7"; . Let it run for few minutes , then reboot iphone.
