This is how I kill ticks I carry a bottle of alcohol with me in the field. When I find a tick I just pop it in the bottle for a quick and easy way to get rid of it. Kill ticks and start a tick collection.

The bottle that I've been using for collecting the ticks is an old cracker barrel syrup bottle that I cleaned out and filled with rubbing alcohol.
