How to Mail Merge using Microsoft Excel and Word

This is a simple and straight forward video on how to mail merge using Microsoft Excel and Word. It takes you through the steps of first creating the excel spreadsheet that will be used for the data in the mail merge. It then shows you how to use this Excel data in Microsoft Word to create a letter.

It also gives a brief explanation of some of the additional buttons such as the preview results button, cycling through the recipients and how to mail merge envelopes and letters and to send bulk email to your Excel data. It doesn't use the Mail Merge Wizard as I think it's just as easy to use the buttons on their own instead of relying on the walk-through.

This how to video is created using Microsoft Excel and Word 2007. If you want to learn how to mail merge using other versions of Excel, Word or Office, or using different data sources than let me know and I'll try my best to do a new video for you.
