How to make LinkedIn profile private

Here is how to make your LinkedIn profile private. While LinkedIn allows collaboration, job searching, and meeting new people, it is important to understand it hoards valuable information. LinkedIn has a dark secret like any other social media outlet and that is data can be leaked by default. This social channel has information like where you work, what systems you use, and even who you know. Did you know with this specific type of information they build profiles about you to use in social engineering attacks? Marketing companies and hackers use this information to plan strategic campaigns against you, your work and your family. It is important to be conscious of your individual privacy and security and review the security and privacy settings in LinkedIn.
